The IGS Advisory Process
IGS Advisory can manage an entire new Fund project, offer specialist advice on individual components of a Fund build, or advice on an existing Fund structure or restructure. Our five distinct stages of consultancy allow access together or as separate components depending on client requirements.
1. Feasibility

An independent assessment both ‘top-down’ and ‘bottom-up’ of the business plan of a new Fund. This will include advice on an impartial assessment on market, sector, marketing and distribution, modelling, fees, domicile, service provider selection, costs and all aspects relating to bringing a Fund to launch.
2. Design and Build
Following successful proof of concept, IGS Advisory can assist with the key decision making and service provider selection process, issuing RFPs and negotiating terms with Fund partners using market pricing information gained through its extensive activity in the area. Final selection is made using IGS’ in-house scoring matrix to ensure the optimum cost/benefit solution for the Fund.
3. Execution
IGS can assist with all aspects of the opening of the fund, from developing and populating the Document Warehouse Solution, selection of infrasture systems for Risk Management, NAV calculations and so on, to executing the initial capital draw-downs. Additionally, our Human Resource service can assist with personnel requirements including key staff and sourcing board members.
4. Distribution
IGS can provide advice on Brand and Marketing of the Fund including Logo, Presentations and Brochure production, websites, e-Marketing through to full blown distribution campaigns and capital raising services. Our database of over 4,000 qualified investors allows us a unique route to a targeted market thus minimising wastage and reducing ‘Investor Fatigue’. Additionally, with Segregated Managed Accounts becoming a more and more important condition for security and transparency of investments, we can also provide a bespoke Segregated Managed Account Platform introduction service to accelerate the distribution network evolution.
5. Fiduciary
Once managers have been selected and portfolios constructed, the modern alternative investment process demands the full mitigation of all operations and manager risk. IGS can provide solutions for the design, implementation and oversight of:
- Investment Manager due diligence

- Counterparty evaluation and performance monitoring
